Little Writing Group.

GUESS WHAT? Inspiration has hit, and I'm on a writing roll! (Ok, I realise how cheesy that sounds, but you know, I don't think I particularly care). I suspect it may be because I'm wearing a maxi dress, which makes me feel like I'm living in the 19th Century, and since that's when my novel is based, I feel inspired. Or something.

I went to IKEA yesterday, like I said I was going to, and I found a pretty good bookcase (It's called Billy). I just need to buy it now  ;)
I managed to finish City of Glass this morning as well. I know, I am somewhat obsessed, my mother is becoming gravely concerned, but I assue her that it is only because it's the holidays that I'm reading as much as I can, because I don't have a lot of time to do that when I'm in the school term. So now I'm reading the first of the Infernal Devices Series: Clockwork Angel.

I know what you're thinking, geez, this chick is way too obsessed with Cassandra Clare's books, but it isn't my fault they are so addictive and enthralling. Plus, this is a prequel to the Mortal Instruments series, so I HAVE to read it. Anyway, if I happen to like an author, I have this weird tendency to read all of their books. DON'T JUDGE.

So here's the premise to my little writing/novel project: Kate Madding is a mad girl who has 'visions'. Or, at least, everyone thinks that. But when she arrives at the Sea-Broke asylum near the North Sea in Suffolk, England, things really begin to change. The government come to her and ask her for her help; dark forces are coming in a magnitude and only she can stop them. But this is 1888. How much will the renowned girl of madness take, before, she, herself delves into the darkness of what is the unknown?

An excerpt from the first chapter (obviously, from the title you can see)
So, yea. Sound any good? I'm having trouble on titles, but if you have a good idea, suggest in the comments.  :)please & thank you.
Until tomorrow, loverlies

  1. Hey,
I like the sound of what you've written! Sounds like the sort of thing I'm into. I'd give you title advice, but I'm so hopeless at that too!It takes me months!
Anyway, nice blog, I like it.
